Early November Post

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I cannot believe it is almost December!! A few reminders for December

  1. As the weather is getting colder, please keep in mind that students need to dress appropriately. We WILL be going outside if it is not below freezing. If temperatures are below 42 degrees and a child does not have a jacket and proper wear (footwear, pants, etc.), they will have to have an alternative recess in the Learning Commons
  2. Our field trip to the Tellus Museum is coming up December 13th. I am looking for two chaperones. Of course, any parents can meet us there, but I do need two parents who are willing to come around and look after a group. Please let me know if you are available. Chaperones will need to meet us at the Tellus Museum on the day of the field trip.
  3. Since the field trip is coming up, I do need a rough lunch count. Please send me an email letting me know if your child will purchase a sack lunch or bring a lunch by Tuesday, December 4th.
  4. Lastly, please remember that the wax museum project is due and presented on Friday, December 14th. Please let me know if you need anything or have any questions.

Hi All,

Thank you all who have returned the Tellus field trip permission form and money. If you haven’t done so, please do. This field trip is on Thursday, December 13th.

I loved seeing all the kiddos dressed in their Halloween costumes. We did so many fun activities, such as making Witch’s Brew to discuss cause and effect and write a how to piece. We, also, went math-o-treating! Please check out pictures on See What We’re Up To.

Lastly, this upcoming Monday the students will be receiving information about the wax museum project third grade does every year. The students get to choose a person who contributed to society, research them, write about them, and present about them by dressing up and knowing 5 facts. This will be due on December 14th, but we will begin the process of researching at school this week. Most of the project will, however, be completed at home.
